Weird and Wonderful

2.10.2010

So, I like to do a little random research sometimes. Mostly, you might call this wasting time on the internet. Sometimes, it's just that (a colossal waste of time). Other times, I find some truly weird and wonderful things out there. And those times rock. Therefore, I have decided to dedicate Wednesday's posts to my weird and wonderful finds. Enjoy!

Hello again!

2.08.2010

Man, I really need to get better at this whole blogging business. There's just not enough time in one day! You know? You know.

We haven't really been up to too much since Christmas... But, here are some updates.

1 We have now been for seven months! 8 on the 24th of this month. Whoop!

2 Chad and I had birthdays! We are now one year old and buttloads wiser too. My birthday was on January 24, and Chad's was on February 5. My birthday shenanigans included a trip to the movies to see Avatar, BBQ chicken a la Chad, German chocolate cake (my favorite!) also a la Chad, and a brand new set of scriptures! I love my husband :) These ones don't even have any of the pages taped back in like my old ones do. Requiescant in pace, old scriptures; requiescant in pace.

For Chad's birthday, we counted Avatar as part of his shenanigans as well. His loot included two movies: The Incredibles, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He was pretty excited. I need to get better at taking pictures. I just realized I don't have any from either of our birthdays. Dang. Anyways, for his birthday dinner, we made BLTs (my gosh that boy can cook bacon), and he wanted cookies and ice cream instead of cake. So, I "baked" chocolate chip cookies (from a tube...) and we had them with peanut butter cup/fudge swirl ice cream. It all turned out soooo good. Chad's got vision.

And that about sums up the birthday happenings. We had fun.

3 Things are going well with Chad getting ready to go to Egypt. I'm having fewer emotional breakdowns, and Chad's mom is already making mental packing lists for him ;) It's still kind of surreal to me when I think about it. My little brother is going to come up to Provo and stay with me for three months while Chad's bashing around Egypt. I'm looking forward to having him here :) I'm still working on finding us both a little extra work for the summer, but hopefully that'll come when it needs to.

I'm trying to pack the summer full of things to do while Chad's gone in hopes that the time will go faster that way. Here's my radical checklist:

Start painting again! I haven't painted since high school and I miss it. Lots.
Paint the apartment! Whoop!! (finally)
Decorate the apartment the way I want it (finally)
Start running seriously. Again, haven't done this since high school, and I miss it. Also lots.
Find some way to get my little brother and I to Moab for a few days
Get a sewing machine and learn how to sew!! (FINALLY)

This list subject to change.

Anyways, I have homework to do. Peace out, homeskillets.
