A quick hello

4.09.2010

This background is so smarmy. Isn't it great? I kind of love it. Don't worry. I'll probably change it soon anyway.

So. Sorry for the lack of anything interesting on here lately. Updates:
1 I chopped my hair again, and... almost immediately regretted it. I should have listened to Rachel. D'oh. But, I cried for a day, and got over it. And it'll be nice for the dig this summer not to have to deal with hair.
2 Chad's leaving in two weeks from today!!! Ack :(
3 Wrote an 8 page paper yesterday and was actually physically sore from sitting for so long. Brillian eh?.
4 Put a passwordy-type thing on the blog. Sorry if that's annoying. Mostly so that I can say whatever I want and not have to worry about creeps seeing any of it. I mean, I don't really want it floating around on the net that I'm going to be living by myself for three months, you know? I'm already paranoid enough, and this is a pretty good outlet. Plus, now you guys can feel like you're part of a supercool supersecret club. Lucky you!

I hope everyone's enjoying this glorious weather!! It is absolutely beautiful in Provo today. And actually, I kind of feel this weird self-entitlement to the gorgeous weather. Seeing as how winter JUST WOULDN'T DIE this year.

Speaking of Provo, did anyone notice that weird smell around town this morning? It reminded me of summer vacations with the fam in Rockport, TX. That thick, beachy, kind of sour smell... only without the salt. And then as I approached the south stairs up to campus, it dawned on me as I watched the seagulls wheeling about noisily overhead... the seagulls!! Maybe? Maybe half of that beachy smell from my childhood that I absolutely adore is gross seagull smell. (Don't get me wrong; I love seagulls. But I don't exactly go around smelling seagulls.) I'm glad they're back. It's such a quirky thing, to have seagulls in Utah. It's actually one of my favorite things about being here. Second only to the mountains and parks.

Anyways, just a thought.
