Good quote for spring, eh? The weather's getting warmer! Which makes me pine for spring and a body that can run again. (Not to mention the springtime baby we're expecting.)
This winter's been hard on Emmett. Actually, I think it's nursery that's been hard on Emmett. Seems like constant colds, viruses, and teething these days.
I went in to wake up Emmett this morning (at almost ten!). His eyes started fluttering as I walked up, and slowly a big, bright grin spread across his face as he saw me. I'm convinced there is absolutely no better way to start the day with your toddler. Beats the last time I woke him up. He was not happy with me.
I finally bought dirt yesterday, which means I'll have some sweet pictures to post soon of my seed-starting adventures. I can't wait for spring!!

Today finds me almost unmotivateable to be productive. I think I'll ignore the sinkful of dishes calling my name a little longer. And the nice, long list of things-to-do-around-the-house that I kind of shuffled into the stack of papers on the desk so I wouldn't see it.
I started getting my hospital bag together the other day (!!) and realized I don't really have much that I can put away and not use for the next six weeks. This list is a pretty good one if you want a realistic rundown of things you'll actually (mostly) need at the hospital. People (including me the first time around) go way overboard with this hospital bag business. For instance, a lot of people bring movies and games and books for entertainment while they're there. In my experience: any down time you have is spent either staring at the new little wonder in your arms or trying to sleep before the nurses come back in to feel your stomach or take more blood.
I have almost officially handed over the baby naming responsibility to Chad. I just can't handle it. It's stressing me out like none other this time around. Plus we keep shooting each other down on the ones the other really likes, so while I retained my right to veto, the job is now his :)
Emmett is trying more and more words lately, which is really fun.
Banana = Bluhnyah
Water = wwWWWAHWWww (the wind up is the best part)
Car = Gah
And then of course mama and dada, but you have to practically twist his arm to get him to try those :)

If we have the option of moving to Texas in May, I have already put my foot down on going to any lakes in the College Station area. I keep getting pictures like this when I google image the lake names:
no. flippin. thank. you.
Isn't that crazy?! I think I've been pampered here in the bubble in way more ways than one.
Happy Thursday!
