Just for the record...

...going for long walks does nothing to put you in labor real labor. But if you're looking for hours of stress, go for it. That's been my experience, anyway.

Thanks to nice, long walks, I've been in false labor twice this week, both times ending in extreme frustration and an extra sore body. Monday, I had contractions at three and a half minutes apart for long enough and hard enough that we were just about to get ready to leave for the hospital, but when I sat down to chill and see if they would go away... they did.

Then yesterday, another long walk started contractions at around 4:30. Starting at 7:48, they were three minutes apart for the next three hours. After a call to labor and delivery, we sat around for a while longer, eventually deciding to just go to bed. Obviously, these contractions weren't exactly painful, just super close together. I tried relaxing on the couch and taking a shower, but they wouldn't stop. I was still having contractions every time I got up for the bathroom and this morning, but no baby. Did I do some self-pitying and crying to sleep? You betcha. But I'm also very glad that we're both healthy and definitely less than two weeks away. I would, however, love to find out who started this ridiculous myth and throw things at their head.

Just kidding. mostly.

Anyway. Hopefully you've all had a nice start to conference weekend! I totally forgot about conference until Chad texted me this morning and said, "Don't forget about conference!" Emmett and I got through about half of the morning session before he needed some entertainment. So he watched Planet Earth while I did dishes. Guess I'll read that last hour's worth of talks. Then I got to sewing and forgot about the afternoon session, so I missed about half of that one too, even though Emmett was down for a nap. Whoops :| Thank goodness for the Ensign :)

Enjoy your spring weather! We're supposed to get snow over the next couple days, but I'm still in denial, so we won't talk about that.

Have a great weekend!
